The popular orange seller who went viral after video of him singing ‘You are worthy’ by Tope Alabi is now a student of Avi Cenna School courtesy of the super generous woman of God, Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi.
Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola, through Her Esther Ajayi Foundation also offered full Scholarships to two young men who were instrumental to the popularity of 14 year-old Ayomide, the itinerant fruit seller.
Ayomide, now a student attending Avi Cenna School, has seen his own fortune extending to Sunkanmi Akinpelu and Stephen Sosa who were instrumental to his popularity.
Impressed by their effort of recording and posting Ayomide’s video, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, the global philanthropist has offered Sunkanmi, currently a National Diploma 2 student of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro and Stephen scholarships to Bells University of Technology.
Breaking the good news at a short ceremony held at Sheraton Lagos Hotel, Ikeja, Rev. Mother Ajayi stated that she decided to help the duo because they were the vessels God used to ensure Ayomide got his breakthrough.
An elated Sunkanmi narrated to us how he got Ayomide’s video to trend. According to him” He has always been singing in the area, so one day, I called him to buy orange as usual and I told him to sing and I started recording. He had told me to record on audio but I managed to record audio-visual and posted it online..That was it”.
