President Buhari this afternoon, touched down Maiduguri international airport, Borno state to pay a sympathy visit to the government and people of the state over last Sunday February 9th Boko Haram attack in Auno, a community in the state.
Over 30 persons were burnt to death while several others were abducted after the attack. President Buhari who landed in Brono from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he went for the 33rd Ordinary Session of Presidents and Governments of the African Union.
Garba Shehu, the Special Asisistant to Presidnet Buhari on Media and Publicity, who announced the President’s visit to the state, wrote
12:45pm. President Buhari, aboard the BBJ from Addis Ababa just landed in Maiduguri. He is paying a sympathy visit to the government and people of Borno following the recent horrific incident in which BH terrorists killed several travelers.
In a viral video residents of Maiduguri was heard booing the president convoy…”Ba ma so” meaning we don’t want you again.
