Fans of Meghan Markle have launched an attack on Prince Charles following his Windrush Day speech – as they accused him of failing to protect his daughter-in-law from racist criticism.

The Prince of Wales, 71, paid tribute to the ‘invaluable contribution of Black people in Britain’ in a video to mark 72 years since the Empire Windrush arrived at Tilbury Docks in Essex, bearing around 500 people from Jamaica.

Charles added that ‘diversity of our society is its greatest strength’ – but admirers of the Duchess of Sussex, 38, labelled the Duke of Cornwall a ‘hypocrite’, claiming he did ‘nothing to protect’ Prince Harry’s wife from ‘racial bullying’.

The Duke of Sussex, 35, previously raged about ‘racist’ social media attacks on Meghan, who has a black mother and white father, and said the media published articles with ‘racial undertones’.
